Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs
All-terrain stroller is light durable, sturdy and provides excellent maneuverability. The compact fold that can be folded with just one hand makes it easy to move. It also stands on its own when folded. The padded seat reclines into an almost flat position and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. Newborn suitability? Yes with an additional carrycot.
A good suspension and air-filled tires will help you navigate through rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging, but you must wait until your baby is six or nine months old for this.
Ickle Bubba XL Air
This lightweight pushchair by Ickle Bubba is packed with lots of features that parents will appreciate. It is a travel system, which includes a lie-flat carrycot designed for newborns, a multi-position forward and rear-facing pushchair seat, and a choice of a group 0+ car seat, meaning you can get everything you need in one package.
The XL Air is a really impressive vehicle, and it's easy to see why it's been awarded so many praises from customers. It is incredibly lightweight - the wheels and chassis weigh only 6.5kg. It is extremely easy to put together. I was able get it up and running in under five minutes. That's amazing considering that it included attaching fabric for the carrycot.
The seat is wide and comfortable for Annie, who is 12 months old. The recline lever was easy to operate. The basket is spacious with plenty of space and I like that the handle bar comes with pockets to keep your keys and phone secure.
The only downside is that the handlebar is low, which can be an issue for taller parents. However, it's coated with a luxurious leather-like material that's soft and comfy and wipes down easily, meaning it's still a breeze to push with bags and children on your hands!
Hauck Pushchair Runner
The Runner is made for sporty parents who want to go out and explore. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be used on field and forest trails. The front wheel is lockable and can be rotated to increase the versatility. It also comes with a cushioned 5-point safety harness and a front bar to keep your little one safe on all trips, while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving while you take a break. The seat can be repositioned to lay down and the canopy can be opened to allow for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm, to fit mum or dad.
The Runner will accompany you on any adventure whether it's a leisurely jog, a longer hike or a long-distance trek. 3 wheeler pushchairs features a completely flat lay-flat seat with suspension air wheels to ensure smooth and comfortable riding. The front wheel can be locked for greater stability when walking on narrow streets or busy sidewalks. The stroller can also fold up to fit into car boot spaces and storage spaces.
The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally, the locking system (requiring two buttons on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than the ones of competitors and therefore it may not suit shorter parents but overall, it's an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller that is worth considering for active families.
Red Kite Push Me Pace
Red Kite's Pace is a fantastic product from the affordable British brand. They are well-known for their clean, well-designed products that are essentials for parents. It's the latest - and priciest - product in their bargain-priced lightweight stroller range and, like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo is car seat compatible so that you can use it from birth (the carrycot folds away).
The new Pace has some fantastic design elements, including a rose-gold tint on the chassis, hood, and stroller trims that really set it apart. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics in the stroller and the car seat are elegant and there is the option of adding the leather handle for the cover and bumper bar too.
It is suitable from birth up to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat converts easily from the carrycot into the 2-in-1 reversible mode. It can be parent or world-facing. The stroller seat comes with various lie-back positions, comfortable padded leg rests, and an extended sun canopy with zip-off sections that are concealed and a transparent flap, and a retractable visor.
When folded when folded, the Pace measures 56 inches x 43cm and 32 inches, which allows it to be used as hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. Two buttons on either side are easy to utilize and press into the right position.
Bugaboo Fox 5
The idea behind it is to create the ultimate all-terrain pushchair Bugaboo's newest Fox 5 promises to do everything. Its unique chassis, coupled with a shorter wheel-distance, makes it much more maneuverable than its predecessor. I tried it with my two children one of whom is eight weeks old and the other toddler - on rocky roads, grassy wooded walks and even cobblestones.
The large, puncture-proof wheels - 22cm or 30cm in size are able to handle different terrains. The wheels have a flap that can be opened or closed to let air in when needed. It is a little bigger than other pushchairs, however it isn't heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.
The fabric of the seat is machine washable, as are the frame and faux leather grips are easy to wipe down. It's also quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt comfortable using it in busy urban streets. One of the advantages is that it has integrated accessory points. This means you can put in footmuffs, parasols, changing bags and even a tray for snacks. You can also use the hood to block out rain and wind, but it's not particularly waterproof. The single pram can be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included), which gives your child more leg room. The bassinet took about 20 minutes to put together, and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into a seat.
